11th Station - Jesus is nailed to the Cross
10th Station Stations of the Cross 12th Station
At the Eleventh Station, we contemplate the moment when Jesus is stretched out upon the Cross and His hands and feet are pierced by nails. This is one of the most painful and brutal episodes of the Passion, yet it reveals the depth of Christ’s obedience and love. He does not resist; instead, He embraces the Cross freely, offering Himself for the salvation of humanity. Each hammer blow is a reminder of the weight of our sins, yet also of the immeasurable mercy of God who transforms suffering into redemption. Here we learn that true love is sacrificial, that forgiveness is offered even in the midst of cruelty, and that our own crosses—though heavy—can become instruments of grace when united with His.
