12th Station - Jesus dies on the Cross
11th Station Stations of the Cross 13th Station
At this solemn moment, all creation seems to hold its breath as Jesus, after hours of agony, breathes His last. His death is not defeat but a supreme act of love—an offering freely given for the salvation of the world. Hanging between earth and heaven, He bridges the chasm caused by sin and opens the way back to the Father. The silence of this moment speaks louder than any words: it is the silence of love poured out to the end, the silence of a heart that forgives even as it is pierced. As the veil of the Temple tears and the earth trembles, we recognise that nothing remains the same. In contemplating this mystery, we are invited to stand with Mary, John, and the faithful few at the foot of the Cross, allowing the love of Christ to pierce our own hearts, to purify, heal, and transform us.
